Leonard Zacks, CEO
Len provides executive management along with direction and oversight for the research effort and product development at ZIM. He is currently President of ZIR. Prior to the founding of ZIR, Len was responsible for quantitative product development at A.G. Becker, was an associate with McKinsey & Company and was also an analyst at RAND Corporation. Len holds a Ph.D. from MIT.
Benjamin Zacks, Managing Director & Portfolio Manager
Ben is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the investment process at Zacks Investment Management. Prior to founding ZIM in 1992, Ben was one of the founders of ZIR and served as Executive Vice President of ZIR from 1978 to 1991. He was responsible for product development and marketing. Ben has been featured on several financial news stations including CNBC, CNN, and CNN-fn. He is frequently quoted and used as a source in several publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Business Week, The Chicago Tribune, Financial World, and SmartMoney. Ben has a B.A. in Economics from Boston University.
Mitchel Zacks, Managing Director & Portfolio Manager
Mitch serves as Director of Quantitative Modeling and Portfolio Manager of ZIM. Mitch is integrally involved in Zacks' research efforts and has primary portfolio responsibility for several of the strategies. Mitch has been featured in various business media including the Chicago Tribune and CNBC. He wrote a weekly column for the Chicago Sun-Times and recently published a book on quantitative investment strategies. Mitch has over 10 years of investment experience. He has a B.A in Economics from Yale University and an M.B.A in Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago.
Ming Fang, Quantitative Portfolio Manager
Ming has ten years of quantitative research and trading experience. Most recently he was a Quantitative Equity Portfolio Manager at Brevan Howard U.S Management where he solely managed a market neutral U.S equity portfolio. Prior, he was an Associate Director in Quantitative Equity at PartnerRe Asset Management Corporation where he co- managed a long/short domestic equity portfolio. Ming has a PhD in Finance from Yale University and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington.
Prasanth Sankar, Quantitative Analyst
Prasanth works as a quantitative analyst and model developer. He is responsible for developing and implementing new quantitative models and improving models used in existing portfolios. Prasanth has a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelors degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Harvey Hong, Operations Manager
Harvey is responsible for the operations and trading of wrap accounts. Harvey has been with the firm for a total of 6 years and has 12 years of equity trading experience. Harvey has a B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas and an M.B.A from Loyola.
